Monthly Payments

I am considering buying another coupe. a 2004 6mt with Premium Package. I was quoted at a price of 33,500 for sale with a 8k trade in and 2k down, which averages out to be around 600 a month for 3 1/2 years. Has anyone gotta a better price out there or known of a better price for a purchase.

Thanks
Garrett

Re: Monthly Payments

A little over 35k but I have a few insiders at the dealership I am considering purchasing it at. My main question is can I get it for a little over invoice. A friend of mine just bought a sedan for 297 a month. It was a 5 AT, with leather and sports package.

Re: Monthly Payments

On Freshalloy.com, Grubbs is offering VPP pricing to freshalloy members. I think it's something like $300 over invoice, plus another $600 for shipping. Check it out.

Re: Monthly Payments

The FA price comes in at around $800 over invoice, plus shipping.

Just now buying with VPP (real, not FA), and that is how it works out.

Re: Monthly Payments

DO NOT negotiate based on a monthly payment - get the best price possible and them talk about financing options.

Re: Monthly Payments

Listen to blitzjb....the only real way to save any money is first to negotiate the price of the car...not including trade in or any other incentives...once you get the price your looking for...then start to work on trade and other items...otherwise it becomes a numbers game for the dealer..alittle goes up here...alittle goes down there...been ther done that...not fun at all...makes you think their all a bunch of scam artists or crooks...fact is they work on commission...so the less they take off the better for them...Pick up any consumer mag regarding new cars and buying them..they will give you all the facts you need to arm yourself for the "this is the best deal" game going on out there..2old4this

Re: Monthly Payments

I agree with both Blitzjb and GR8TG35. Do not work with your sales rep on anything but sticker price. Keep your trade in, monthly payments and down payment numbers out of the conversion. If you ask for a lower monthly payment, they can jack up interest, or extend the number of payments. You'll just go in circles and they usually will come out ahead. You can also get more on your trade in if you can sell it yourself, but that's your call, you know its condition and history more than anyone else. If you haven't purchased a new car or have had little experience, I suggest that you read this article off Edmunds. Its several pages long but nicely done with some insider workings of a dealership.
