Black housings?

What's the deal, some coupes have black housing headlights and some don't. I've seen both 03/04 with them. Is it a certain package by chance? I want to get a set, or swap mine with someone. This is a mystery..

Re: Black housings?

Could it be a difference between Premium and None Premium?
Or the reflection in the pics?

Re: Black housings?

its acutually not black, but sort of a reflective gunmetalish color. it looks black at night or in a shaded area.

are some just plain chrome???

Re: Black housings?

It's not a diff between premium/non because I have a premium and I didn't get the Black Housings. It is also definately not a reflection because I have seen Haemi's ride in person numerous times.

this is killin me..

Re: Black housings?

I thought clearcorners.com sold the black housings but they're pretty expensive.

Re: Black housings?

It's the reflection. It's not exactly a chrome housing, it's gunmetal like someone said. From some angles it will look black, other times it will not. Here's a pic of my car, I did NOT black out the housing. It just looks that way in this pic.

Re: Black housings?

like i freakin told you. its a gunmetalish housing and it has to be reflective. if not, the hids would not work right.

Re: Black housings?

u can obviously tell in that pic you posted that the headlight housing is not black, but rather a reflective gunmetal.look for the thread with the "real black housing" and you will be able to tell the difference.

Re: Black housings?

Here's another pic. The housing looks chrome here.

It's a cool housing, that's why I didn't want to paint over it...
