Rev limiter

Is it alright to hit the rev limiter in Auto manual? I hear u can hit is as much as you want and it wotn do [censored], is this true? and also is 6.1k the best to shift at in tiptronic? Thanx

Think about that for a sec....

When the rev limiter kicks in, fuel is cut off. Is that a good thing at 6K+ RPM? HELL NO!

The rev limiter is there as safety precaution and not there to act like a shift indicator.

oh even in tiptronic , guess the guy was wrong then hmm ;/ and is 6.1k a good time to shift?

i played a lot with MM so i'll give you my experience..
when you are in 1st gear and want to shift to 2nd, shift up at 6k and tranny will shift right at redline(6500rpm), and 2nd to 3rd, shift up at 6.2k, 3rd to 4th, 6.4k, and 4th to 5th is almost instantly(feels like SMG haha), so shift whatever rpm u want and tranny will shift instantly..
