wut do u guys think of this color. my parents are about to finally order g35 coupe w/ everything but nav. and it's between red and the lighter silver. we have had a silver lincoln ls v-8 in silver, so we thought maybe it's time for a change. however, do u guys think the red is girlie in anyway? i know in the end it's up to me, but i was just wondering wut u guys thought. thanx.

 

I couldn't stand red, never even wore a piece of red clothing....yet I bought this color after seeing it. I was sick of black. That's all I can say, and no, it's not a girlie color. It's a traditional sports car color and you'll find that many of the men on this board chose laser red.

 

And cops love it too.

I think the Laser Red looks better in the coupes without the aero package, IMO. I have always heard that Red cars were always a sign of bad luck to come, i.e. tickets, accidents etc. I'm not supersticious, but I have not had any incidences (yet) with my Laser Red coupe in the 14 months I've owned it.
Now, my wife's San Marino Red 1999 Accord Coupe V6 is a different story. She's been hit (lightly) 3 times since we've had it new. Makes you wonder, huh?

I mean no offense here, but maybe the people who hit your wife were too busy looking at her and not keeping their eyes on the road? j/k... Of course the red is more noticable, but I think the whole ticket/accident thing w/red cars is a myth. Just don't drive like an idiot, don't show off, and you'll be ok. Cruising at a leisurely pace w/this car is just sweet and everyone can get a good look at it. In fact you might get pulled over simply because the cop would like to know what kind of car you're driving (happened to me while driving a 2k3 tiburon) and give you a warning.....who knows.

We also can't forget some of the posts other people have made about the color. As some have stated, you'll notice red is used in most advertisements, and besides that, ladies love the red.

I like black sport car but my fiance likes red car. We went to the dealer together and saw a black and red ones next to each other. I ended up driving home with a red coupe. I am not sure about other cars in red but this coupe does look good in red.

I like the colour, but I chose it by default mainly because I didnt want a shade of silver and the carribian blue is a girlie hue. (Sorry to anyone who has one) I've grown to like it more now, and as someone said its a classic sports car colour, basically 'cherry red' I also think the spoiler looks silly in any other colour because the red tail lights don't stand on the Laser Red body.

I was originally looking at IP since I wouldn't go near black, and silver/grey is far too common up here in CT. Initially, when I first went to the dealer, they didn't have a LR coupe in stock. I grabbed a promotional book to read through (which if you have this book, most of the coupes in it are LR!), and that was what got me interested in LR. The next time I was at the dealer, they actually had an LR in stock and I was floored. As far as I'm concerned, LR simply underscores the bold, sexy style of the car.

I have a red coupe, I love it. But, all of my cars that I have ever owned have been red. IT looks hot on the road. It looks good with 18's in chrome, spoiler, front lip, tinted windows, wind deflector, and a clear bra. It is hot on the road. Good luck choosing.

 

Red is da bomb! I saw it and had to have it. Sure it's bright but that's what I like. Tinted windows and aero package and BAM, there it is!

 

Why does no one ever mention Desert Platinum around here?? I thought this was the classiest color out there..not to mention how rare it is...

Get the red. I got it and I love it. A sports car is supposed to be red. The ticket thing is a myth for the most part. Get the red, that is what color this car was meant to come in.

I originally balked on red because I wouldn't feel comfortable driving a red car as a young 20-something years old. If I had to do it all over again, I would put my insecurities aside and get Laser Red. Without spoiler of course.
