I have Viper Alarm vx791 which came with an auto start, so I had it installed. So far it has been good to me.
So I am guessing you bought the car used, you should call the manufacture of your auto start and ask them.

On the aftermarket issue...I had another car that died on me when I was driving down the road. Took the dealer 9 days to figure out a wire from my aftermarket alarm had grounded out another wire in the car, which blew a fuse and disabled the body control module.
So as stated earlier, sometimes these things end up causing more trouble than they're worth. Good luck.

As far as the battery goes, it can EASILY be a bad battery at 30,000 miles. I replace my battery every 2 years regardless of mileage. Florida's climate is tough on batteries too.

^ ya if you turn the key in the door lock it can raise and lower your windows.
and yes ive heard of this before in an old thread. this was supposed to be a dealer option, but many people never asked about it.

UPDATE: It turns out the auto start was dealer installed. My car has been running fine ever since I got that jump from Infiniti Roadside assistance. I took my car to the Infiniti dealership anway though. They told me I needed a new battery. It turns out I have a "very unique G35" as the Infiniti dealership put it.
For those interested here is what I can do with my OEM Keyfob that is out of the ordinary:
Double clicking the lock button will start the car. If you double click the lock button again it will turn off the car.
Inserting the key in the drivers side door and turning it left two times will start the car also.
I just fell back in love with this car again.
