My cousin has an 03 Type-S and I must say that I love that car. The design with the aero bodykit and all is fantastic. The car ride is a bit sporty but firm and the navi is truly a pleasure to use. Its not as detailed nice as our nav system however. And its true that the G does take the win in terms of racing against each other. However if for some strange reason I would not have been able to get the G, I would have hands down went for a TL-S. I drove my cousin's to Canada two times and it was a very entertaining ride. Its a great car and would reccommend it.
