I'm 99.99% sure that the 06 and 07 coupes are the exact same thing. The only difference would be that the 06 coupe's total hp is 298, while the o7 is rated at 293(6spd tranny's)

Fully automatic headlamps (all trims) and Intelligent Key (except w/6MT) also became standard for 2007...

I think the engines are identical. From what I remember the difference in hp was due to changes in how they rate the hp. Either way you are not going to notice 5hp. Iv'e got an 06' coupe 6mt and am loving it!

6MT has Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) for intake valves and eCVTCS for exhaust valves. while the 5AT only on the intake side. HP is 275 for the 5AT and 293 for the 6MT. Torque on 5AT is 268 vs 258 for the 6MT and the 6MT offers slightly better MPG.

yup, what the 5AT lacks in overall HP it makes up in more torque. and yea, it was due to a different way they rated the HP but pretty much its all the same thing.

The HP between the 07 and 06 6MT is, in reality, the exact same, the only thing that changed is whats on paper. they rate the HP differently for 07s, thats all. If an 06 was dyno'ed the same way it would aslo say 293 HP.

Hey don't want to hijack this thread...

I'm also looking to possibly purchase an '06-'07 coupe. I'm looking to get the sportiest model and I'm wondering what to look for and how to look for it? Also how does Infiniti's factory warranty works and how long is it typically? I'm interested in the sportiest model w/ 6spd and cold weather package if that is available.

One more question, does a golf bag fit in the back? how about a snowboard?

I'm currently driving a 325i and I was looking for a 330i w/ ZHP 6spd but they are very hard to find and they go for a lot of $. Love the car but personally I think the prices are inflated. I loved the BMW warranty/maintenance program, they replace any little thing that doesn't look right. Anyway... any help would be great thanks.
