so the cops are expecting us to drill holes into our brand new cars? regardless that we are car enthusiasts, this is rediculous, wat if a ferrari didnt come with a flp holder (which i dont think they do,lol) the cops expect you to drill holes in a bumber that probably cost more than the entire G. cmon, f u c k da popo

look how much money you have already invested in the car man, exterior, interior, rims... the car im sure looks flawless but i wouldn't necessarily stop doing what your doing over some tickets.. just mod your car however you want (even when you go FI) just follow the laws and just keep and eye out if your WOT... thats my .02

Yeah I wave at the cops =P some just look at me funny or wave back.. most ignore it lol.

Front plate is fine actually, I'd prefer to keep it off in hopes that IF *knock on I think I might run one once I get the TT installed to kinda hide the intercooler or get a NISMO bumper or something ._.

There is nothing Undriveable about any of the things you listed. The only "Undriveable mods" Would be things that give you 450+ RWHP... or SLAMMING your car.

Trust me if you go FI, Especially twin turbo, you are not going to want to block air flow to your intercooler-- Why even have one if its blocked in.

I HATE my stock bumper-- and as soon as I can get my hands on a greddy its gone...

I'm trying to keep my car cool, but tasteful, nothing outragious because it is my daily driver, and I do have to take it to my dealers every so often-- And I don't want them knowing im bankin' on their hard work.

IMO You should have just made the thread-- Look at my new sponsor and goodies

You only live once Eric. I know eventually I am gonna get pulled over for no front plate and my FMIC only helps to draw attention from cops. Yesterday on our way to the track, I thought that Wally, his neighbor with a Celica and I were gonna get pulled over in Glendale. The cop is driving in the lane to the left of us and as soon as he gets to my car . . . . he stops and just paces me. And then Wally mis-shifts and lets out a loud rev. I thought we were busted for sure . . . . but he didn't do anything. When I looked over to him, he kinda just nodded his had and kept going. But you know what, it's all worth it. I am finally having a lot of fun with my G and I almost have it to where I want it to be. Don't let tint/front plate tickets keep you from building your car the way you want it. Your car is so sick right now. I can't even imagine how sick it's gonna look when it is done.

TS Front + Vortech FMIC = Hotness

It will definately attract attention, but if you add a mesh to the opening & have a Vortech, you can atleast get away from being sent to the referee as long as you show them the CARB approval.

We're in Cali... so TT's are out of the question for me. Nothing worse than having to uninstall the kit by force; that would be very pricey.

Trust me, you have no idea how different it is in Florida than in Cali regarding mods.

The California Air Resource Board (C.A.R.B) will completely change the way any modder mods their vehicle in SoCal.

Having AFTERMARKET TT's with the FMIC visible is only asking for a cop to send you to the referee. Which means that you just paid for labor on the TT for nothing, so it WILL have to come off. (None of the TT kits for the G/Z are CARB legal )

Damn, I wish it were a bit easier for us. But I also understand its for the good our (Californians) sake; you can't even see downtown Los Angeles 5 miles away from all the smog!

Only if they made exceptions to G35's ...

True, but for 255 front 285 rear, I don't think its so much of a problem. Plus, wider tires on the rear are a must for any FI; putting such wide tires in the front are impossible.
