Is it much better with 17' stock wheels and tires than the 18' michelins? if i put some blizzaks on would it be alright in the snow ever?

Re: G coupe in the snow

driving on the rims would be better than the stock michelins!!! The tires are great in dry and wet....but do not even think of doing any serious driving in the snow....They are not for the northeast winter weather.....Try to find blizzaks w/17 rims for the winter months....I could not find winter set up this year....may be because I took delivery right before Nov.....any way...LOL in your search...and be real careful with your car in this weather...20ld4this

Re: G coupe in the snow

I have a G35C with 17" winter wheels & Blizzaks for winter, in Maine. I am very very impressed with performance in some deep snow & ice. Better than an AWD!!! Thank you TireRack.com!!

if you get a 6MT coupe, you MUST get 18" blizzaks, i don't believe they make a 17" size that can clear the brembo brakes.

This car does really well if you get snow tires. I didn't expect it do as well as it does. Do not even try it with the Michelins.

yup, the Michelins REALLY suck especially in the snow-even the slightest bit of snow will have the car sliding left and right.

The pilots are dangerous in any amount of snow - the blizzaks have been awesome!

Re: G coupe in the snow

Blizzaks come in 17" sizes and the rims clear the Brembos just fine. Don't worry about snow with proper snow tires. Without them, prepare your will...

I ride on Pirelli Snowsport 240s on my stock 18s for the winter and they grip like no tommorrow in the snow and ice. Trying to ride on the michelins in the snow is a death wish.
