So here's the question.....

Re: So here's the question.....
I once asked Infiniti if I could take my car to the Nissan dealership for warranty work since it is only 1 block from my job. They said no you would need to take it to an Infiniti dealer.. Thus, my car is NOT a Nissan it is an Infiniti. The company may be owned by Nissan, but unless I can take my car to a Nissan dealership and get all the same perks as when I take it to an Infiniti dealer, it's not a Nissan.
Was the Laser at Mitsu, or was the Talon a Plymouth?
No doubt in Japan my car would be a Nissan, but in the US the G35 has been disowned, as it were, by Nissan and is now the Foster-Child of Infiniti.
I'll put it to you this way, it is an Infiniti of Nissan descent.
2003.5 5AT
Premium Package
Tire/Wheel Package
K&N Filter, Z-Tube, EGK

Re: So here's the question.....
When Infiniti was first introduced it was far different from Nissan. Now that Nissan is improving the luxury of their cars the line is dissapearing. 10 years ago someone with an Infiniti Q45 wouldn't even consider calling it a Nissan. It's like Acura and Honda -- the only similarities are in the sports section. Infiniti is the name of luxury, not necessarily performance.
