Re: loud road noise a problem ?
I agree with you nimnix, I concentrate on the thrill of the ride (except while in traffic) rather than the road noise. Throw some smooth jazz with my upgraded Panasonic/MTX/Infinity Kappas sound system, push the throttle and enjoy the ride. I did not intend for my G to be a library, where the librarian says " SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Maybe once the honeymoon period of riding the 280 horsies is over (which is hopefully never), I'll be more aware of the road noise. Till then, the growl of the exhaust, the whistle of the Z intake and the silkiness of David Benoit will keep me occupied. Ahhhhhh......

The road noise is definitely there, but I really do think you get used to it. It's like...if your G is your daily driver, you get used to the road noise quickly. It's only when you go in another car and then go back into your G and you're like, "Damn, I forgot how noisy this thing is!" But in the end, if it was nice and warm outside, I'd have my windows down listening to the exhaust note....I love it !!!!!!!!!

Re: loud road noise a problem ?
I noticed my car can get loud especially on concrete highways.
I currently have the Goodyear Eagles which are known to be noisy even on other cars (See TireRack). But let's be for real. High-performance tire are rarely quite.
As I stated earlier, I plan on Dynomatting my car when I install the stereo/carputer(?). I hope this will calm things down a bit.
