And how can I tell if mine is an 03.5? I've noticed people's sig with an 03.5 model year, is it specific to the manufacturing date near the VIN? My car was shipped to the dealer 7/2003.

Give your vin# to your local Infiniti Parts/Service dept. They will be able to tell you for sure if it fell into the time frame.....
If its a 6MT, You have the revised center console for sure.....I'm not certain if there was any other changes though

Joker, I think they started with that in either 05 or 06. I know for sure the hp increased to 298hp in 05

I was curious about this too. I have the 6MT and Brembos on my car. Manufacture date 02/03. Does this mean I have a 2003.5 too

RevUp Motor came on 6MTs starting in '05.

Redlines - From nissannews.com:

Maximum engine speed 5AT/6MT 6,600 rpm/7,000 rpm

Probably Not. I have a Mfg Date of 01/03, and have an early '03. Look at Your console, if you have a padded armrest chances are it's an '03.5, if your console is flat in the back with no padding, and you have a console mounted ashtray, it's an early model. Console is not always foolproof however, as I said, I have an early model, but have updated the console.

Surefire way to tell. - I have attached a pic of my guages. The early models had a cubby there, the later models had an ashtray.

No - I was just posting the specs from Nissan's site. The RevUp only came on 6MTs.

Now you just got me even more confused . When you say center console, you're not talking about the armrest? I have an ashtray below the radio though. I got that sliding thing that covers 2 cupholders in front of the shifter.

Sorry for the confusion. From your description you have an '03.5.
