Pretty well known issues of the G35. Uneven thread wear, rear axle bolt being loose, bad alignment, out of balance tires.

Wait, besides the rear axle bolt being loose, aren't those pretty much tire problems not related to the G35 specifically? As in it can happen on any car, RWD car in the case of uneven thread wear? Just asking.

it may just be alignment or you need to balance you tires. as vice_versa said

+1 . . . Check the balance of the wheels/tires, first. Good luck!

if you just put tires on and they're still shaking at highway speeds. Take the wheels off and checkthe balance again. IF its still good, take the weights off. Break off the tire and rotate it 180 degrees on the rim. Remount and balance again see how that does.

the car hasn't been doing it lately it was just that one incident i took the tires to family tire today and the tires were perfectly balanced i didn't think that was the problem anyways since it stoped doing it right after i slowed the car down if it was a tire problem it will be a constant problem do you guys think i should bring it to the dealer and tell them about the problem or do you think they will just brush it off?

How long have you had your s-techs on for? Could be your shocks getting weak causing the shaking or inner tire wear on the fronts maybe..that seemed to be the problem with mine..after I got new tires and Tein Basic coilovers, my car stopped shaking when it usually did at a certain spot.

If the vibrations are only at a certain speed your wheels are out of alignment, other causes mentioned will produce vibrations at all speeds.

alignment will not cause the car to shake...if your lugs are loose it wont be noticeable until you go faster it will feel and sound like you have a flat

Exactly

Not always true, it *can* be noticeable even in a parking lot, depending on circumstances. If it's finger tight vs if the lugs are only twisted on a couple turns.

I would take it past the dealership and at least have the problem noted in the service records. That way if something goes terribly wrong (like the whole rear end falling out or whatever) then you have proof that you notified the dealer of the issue.

That's just me.

i think i'm going to take it to the dealership for my peace of mind it only did it once so it's very unlikely i could reproduce the problem i just hope they take it seriously

Hey I have a similar problem but my car drives fine at high speeds. Only a few times when I am from a stop accelerating to about 35-40 mph my car starts shaking and the gear shift shakes. It feels like i'm driving over a bunch of smooth bumps. I feel like my car hits a small hump and then the engine or transmission starts bouncing and doesn't stop until I let go of the gas. But then when I press the gas again it's gone. I am on point with oil changes and use only plus shell gas. I have a little over 40k miles.
