Rattle from rear?

I have a 07 g35 coupe. It has 3,000 miles on it. I've been having this rattle from the rear for about 6 months now. I've brought it to the dealer so many times, but you know how they r. THEY SUCK>...neways the rattle is from the emergency brake shoes slapping around when i hit a bump. IS any one else have this problem?? if so have they made a update yet on those ebrake shoes?

When i had a brake problem they didn't know what exactly was wrong, so they had some Infiniti Diagnostics Technician or somethin check my car out and they found what was wrong

no..its only over bumps coming from both rear wheels. Its def the emergency brake shoes because i had them apart and theres alot of play. i dont know where the adjustment is on the ebrake cable or else i would do it myself.

The brake adjustment is through a little hole on the backplate to the the rear brakes. there's a little gear like spreader. Screw it one way to expand and the other to contract the shoes. You have to do it bit by bit, pull the rotor and put it back on. You want just enough tension to allow you to turn the rotor by hand - but with a lot of pressure, not freewheeling.

I have the same issue. Sounds like its coming from the rear of the car like 2 pieces of metal hitting together. Not sure what it is and the dealer says they cant replicate it. I did it 5 times and they pissed me off. Im escalating to infinity due to other issues Im having with the car....sounds exactly the same as what Im experiencing with my car.

Hmmm...this is an interesting thread. Have the rattling noise as well over small/medium bumps.
Had definate rattle from pillowball coilover mounts, which now I'm solid rubber bushings, but still have a different sounding rattle since that coilover conversion.
Almost sounds like the upper damper mounts are loose, (metal to body rattle) but they're not.
Thanx for the tip about E-brake shoes rattling. Don't know about any TSB on that currently.

im a technician at lexus...the IS250 has the same noise..there is a tsb on it. Heres what to do. Back off the ebrake handle nut 5-6 turns. take off the back wheels and rotors..make sure the shoes don't have play no more..adjust the back shoes and it should be good..what i was asking before was where is the adjustment on the emergency brake cable (for the handle) not the shoes...INFINITI should be coming out with TSIB or some kind of update for that...the dealer knows they just suckk and say "we cant duplicate the problem"..its a little annoying
