i loved infiniti since 00 when my rents got me a g20. Come 02 when rumors were abound that a g35 coupe would be released i knew it was for me sight unseen. Guess i got lucky it's a sexy car.

I just wanted something that was reliable!

I was looking at the GTO as well as a couple of other cars, but chose the G because it was nice all the way around, as where the gto and the other cars were lacking in the interior or other areas. I am taking a liking to the new bmw 335i's though.

It was the best bang for my buck at nearly 300hp. Not to mention it's a Nissan. It lasts and is reliable in most cases.

I chose this over the Z because of insurance rates, more room, it's faster then most cars and is overall the sickest car I have ever owned.

(not to mention I got a damn good deal on my 04 w/ 24,000 miles and no accidents 23K out the door with a little dealer discount)

Its reliable, rear wheel drive, nice interior, back seat folded down to carry items, and good mileage for the horsepower. The exterior design was better than the GTO. I liked the GTO also, but was concerned about the insurance cost.

Same here. Ive been driving my 93 G20 until a couple months ago when I bought my G35. I always thought I'd get another G20 and then when I saw the G35 in college I fell in love. I knew it would be the first car I'd buy and I finally did.

I also did consider the M3 (but out of my price range).

I chose the G 6mt b/c it is one of the hottest cars on the road wit decent performance..and it's rear wheel drive w/back seat!

I was considering an STI or EVO, but it lacked luxury and it seemed to kiddish..=\...(my girl hates them lol)

S2k fast, but too small..

I like the IS350, but it didn't have a manual version and i didn't want the IS250..

Acura TL Type-S was nice, but it's front wheel drive..

Really.. there isn't anything that can compare to the G 6mt Coupe...

M3 too pricey, 335i too pricey (overheats lol)...

G37 is ugly compared to the G35..

G35 All the Way!!!.. I got my G back in April 07'..

Yeah +1, and with about 10k extra you can drop in a turbo and smoke every single one of those cars..

Agreed with exactly what you said, but stock for stock the G35 is quicker than the S2k, I owned one at the 1/8th.

when i was looking i was thinking about-

Caddy Escalade
BMW 5 series (older and new style)
MB S430 or 500 (03)
350z
G35

i went with the G because the other ones made me feel old just for looking at em... well not the Z but i had a 300zx before and hated not having a back seat or a real trunk.

I bought mine solely for the exhaust note! every time i'd hear it id reach climax and thats why i bought the car no but in all seriousness i just thought it was sooooooooo sexy and had the 2 extra seats and much more luxurious interior than the Z.

Before, I wanted a Lexus IS300 L-Tuned badly. I simply loved how everything was in that car. Later on, my brother took me to the car show to show me only 1 car that would practically change my mind..I never saw the G35 Coupe and I didn't care what it was before cause I kept thinking it was not up in par with the IS. I was wrong on that.. As soon as I saw the G35 in person, I fell in love with it! The minute I sat in the driver's seat just to get a feel of it, I felt like I was at home already. A year later I winded up letting go of the IS I actually almost bought and got the Gcoupe fully loaded.

My reasons why I got the G instead:
-still a rare car on the streets
-more power
-looks agressive and sexy
-head turner
-a lot more bigger than previous cars I wanted
-its RWD..couldn't stand driving my honda anymore..

Well i have always loved the G...its styling and exhuast were key players, never seen the inside or drove one till a few weeks befor i got my 03....... but other rides i considered

04+ Ford F250/350... i love diesels and being bigger than most is a plus but hard to find less than 20 grand.....
03/04 Mustang Cobras ...Had one but it got stolen and hard to find under 23 grand...but the power cant be beat.....

why i choose the G, well the f250s cost 2 much...and the G was at my dealer so i got it at cost....... but if i was to find an f250 6.0 for less than 20k i wouldnt be here now..... but really i love the car its super nice gets compliments and all(specially since i added rims, what a diffrence)........oh and my 150k 2k maxima has been pretty reliable, so nissan was/is okay in my book.....

Thank you all for responding,
I see some commonality between the responses.
My biggest con on the G35c is that they are everywhere, and are as common as Civic, Accord, Camry and Ford Explorer.
If I’ll end up getting one (which I would want to), I will have to mod the exterior literally the same day I get it, I could not stand driving a car so common.
My current car a 2nd gen altima is rare by itself and a moded one, I think I only saw 3 others in the 7 years that I have been driving it.
