i was able to drive ok with my 19's and all season tires. but when i got my winter set of Blizzak LM-22's put on, the car became a tank. I now look for snow to drive over, instead of avoiding it like the plague.

In my area most of the snow was gone but the others were pushed onto the side where people parked. Well needless to say my summer tires did not grip at all but made my car go sideways when i started to pull out. Luckily some snow cushioned my rims to the curb. Hah! no curb rash.

I had 01 and 02 s2000. Great car but when I switched to the G, it was a nice change... G35 doesn't handle that well in the snow but in my opinion, I think it is safer then the s2000. Just drive it carefully and you will be fine. S2000 handles great but I thought it was worse in the snow then the G35.

I also had owned a 04 s2000 and the winter handling sucks even with winter tires. My 04' G35 6sp is horrible with the all season tires but the Blizzak winter tires changes everything. I was able to play around the snow with the blizzak without any problem. I even out run trucks and SUVs on the snow road when they think they own the road.

It is horrible. It took me way too long to get home from work one day. We actually have a record snow storm in Reno for the next weekend. Good thing I have tomorrow off.

i've got a set of 17" OEM wheels if you want some winter tires, they have some curb damage but still in good condition. lmk if it might be something you're interested in

Good luck man, have you driven it in bad cold weather yet? The car has a lot of high points, but in my opinion, traction, especially in bad weather, is it's worst trait. I'd go so far as to say it's the worst bad-weather car I have ever driven. And this coming from a guy who used to drive a RWD fox body mustang in 6 inches of snow (without winter tires)! The G is awful though, I mean God awful, you're gonna slide out on DRY days. I curbed it last year in light rain.

P.S. that's why everyone always recommends winter tires. I'm just really blunt, the car is doo doo in bad weather.

I drive mine in the winter in the snow storm I have snow tires on 245/45-18 all around, vdc works no lights on, the tires I got from craigslist with 1 season on them for $500 dollars, I think they are HANCOOKS, not sure of the model, work great for me.

I'm running blizzaks now, night and day difference. They stick like summer tires in July. With the exception being these lovely global warming days we're getting, then they're like driving on jello.

So any recommendation on snow tires? And what size tires are the best running in snow - wider tires or narrower tires, low profile or fat tires? Thanks!
