Find the board called "Lease Questions - Ask Here" in the Finance, Warranty & Insurance section. The host of that forum, "CarMan", is very knowledgeable on lease info. It may take a day or two for him to respond to questions.. he gets slammed with them daily.

Re: Plan on leasing...
Just go to leasecompare.com. After you input basic information they will give you quotes from several different companies. I found when I negotiated my deal that they are fair estimates. I pay $565 for a fully loaded 6mt coupe. It has everything that it can have in it. My out the door cash was $2000. 15,000 miles 39 months.

Dips,
Couple of words of caution. There is no benefit in leasing a used car over a new one, in actual fact you might see a slightly higher payment on a used one because it will depreciate faster. Secondly, and this is just my opinion ( I 've been leasing cars for some time), I would not put any money down on a lease, every thousasnd you put down saves you about 25-28 dollars per month in payment. If you swallow the extra cost ( which in your case will be about 60 -70 dollars a month) I would do that rather than laying out several thousand dollars up front. Up too you mate, but what you could do is call up your local dealer and have them give you a price? Just a thought.

Re: Plan on leasing...
Residual value is the key factor in lease pricing. With a lease you only pay depriacation of the car's value over the term of the lease. The higher the residual value at the end of the lease the lower the monthly payments for the term of the lease. As an avarage I think that the G35 will have about a 52% residual value for a 36 month lease. So take the price of the car, divide it by two and that will give you a rough estimate of the monthly cost (you have too figure in sales tax and money factors). Your best bet is too call you dealer and have them give you a quote, but in all honesty I can't see you getting a payment of $375 on a 35K+ car.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Leasing a '03 car or a used car probably doesn't make sense. You will get a better lease deal on a new one as the residual on a new '04 will be higher which translates into a lower payment (assuming other lease factors are OK).
If you don't plan to keep the car you should not put any $ upfront on the lease. Just go for the lowest monthly payment relative to the terms and the mileage you think you will be driving. If you do plan to keep the car, leasing is usually not the right choice. Just buy it now. In the case of a purchase, an '03 should save you money.

Just picked up my Coupe today. Lease was $1,318 down $468 a month 36 month 12K miles. Residuals are running 60% with 12K miles and 58% with 15K.
As the gentleman said in an earlier post residual and money factor is the key to getting a good payment. Always put as little down as possible.
