Hey everyone. After lusting over the G35c for the last year and a half and being horribly disappointed by the G37's styling (although I must admit the interior is pretty damn nice) I was finally able to get my hands on an '04 (love the Brembos) 6mt a little over a month ago from a guy in my area who took spectacular care of it and made what I consider to be a few basic but classy mods:
19" HRE 840Rs
Tein Flex Coilovers w/EDFC
Stillen catback dual exhaust

I've done a few little things since I got it, nothing fancy:
Factory XM install
35% tint all around
G35 badge gone (better visual symmetry from the rear without it)

The only other thing I really want to do right now is add a Stillen ram air intake with the z-tube. From everything I've read it seems like the plenum spacer and/or the mrev won't be worth the investment since I don't have the revup engine, which is fine because I'll most likely put a supercharger in when the warranty expires anyway (just turned 40k yesterday).

The car does come with the standard gripes: right rear axle bolt popping, sunroof popping when turning on an incline, driver window sporadically not working, that one random annoying rattle in the back that's impossible to find, weak paint chipping on the hood. I'm gonna have the hood and fenders sprayed and most likely clear bra it and let the dealership handle the rest of the stuff.

And before I forget...the obligatory (Feel free to bash the side molding, I'm hesitant to pull it off):

kooks great very clean car

a MD 5/16 Spacer would do quite well with the Stillen/z-tube...

its just the MERV2 you dont need

o and get clear corners and front 0EM lip

Welcome, and congrats.

Agreed the 5/16 spacer would be a good investment, better than intake if you're looking for a few extra HP.

Also, before you go off and make major mods, remember that though your factory bumper-to-bumper expires after 4 yrs/60k, your powertrain warranty goes through 6 yrs/70k.

Finally, I actually like the body-side molding. Hope that doesn't make me a pariah in the G community.

thanks Beebo and G35fromPA for the heads up on the spacer.

i'm actually doing the intake for the more aggressive sound and whatever minor fuel efficiency increases it yields, not so much for the extra HP. i don't drive the car hard enough to feel those few extra HP.....at least not yet anyway

do people usually get those noising from g35's? I know ive heard of it before, but is it really that common? My 06' never does any of that stuff
