One of my favorite things about the car were the side view mirrors. I can agree the black would look stupid contrasting your car's color ( I have OB ). But as for the shape, I really really like it. It looks simple, and sleek. Nothing showy like Mercedes or BMW. I will keep my mirrors the same. =)

To me, I feel the side mirror blinkers is more of a safety feature then looks. You don't know how many times I almost get hit when I make lane changes. Just go see for yourself, watch a coupe or sedan change lanes and look at their car from the side.

I think the blinkers on the sideview like said above are more of a safety issue. The sports coupe has a nasty blind spot and a means of kind of helping out that blind spot would be side blinkers to notify vehicles on the side of you that you want to lane change.

I hate the old M3 mirrors on anything but an old M3. That's my bottom line.

(hehehe I wouldn't mind have the M5 style mirrors though that fold up when I park). But regardless....

rain deflectors are not possible on the coupe... i've looked into this and have given up hope.... plus it would look ugly on a coupe

If someone next to you is dumb enough to to not look when you merge in to their lane, then why would they be smart enough to notice a mirror blinker. Besides, if you are turning, isn't your responsibility to see if there are cars in your way and to avoid them? Sorry, just seems link another gimmick
