As some of you may know I recently totaled my 2003 coupe. Badabing boom ok. I took delivery on my new 2004 coupe (insurance was very cooperative seeing that all our cars are the 2nd most demanded on car at the present time).
Anyways the recirculator button for the temperature control (for landfill areas or bad exhaust smells outside the car) is pissing me off. Anytime I would press it in the 2003 coupe the A/C would automatically come on BUT I could shut off the A/C and still recirculate the air. NOW I turn on the recirculator and the A/C stays on no matter what.
Any 2004's have the same thing going on or is it some type of circuit screw up?

If the A/C is off, I believe you are recirculating dirty air.

same thing here, i believe that the a/c always stays on when you recirculate air

it also depends on which "mode" you are in.... such as whether its on Feet/Front or Defrost/Feet also matters....

shouldnt this be in the manual??

like someone just stated, u r just recirruclating dirty air?

 

Because the big diesel truck with the nasty exhaust up ahead of you may be cramping your style, more than the "dirty" air I'd be recirculating... [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]
