I think the VQ35 just likes to 'flatulate' when you beat on her.

I don't smell anything... But the car is so fast now, it probably takes 5 minutes for the smell to catch up.

I have had the same smell since I got the car with ~30k miles.
I know its not due to needing an oil change because it happens ALL the time when going WOT.
It was worse before I put in my K&N...I was thinking it was from the dirty filter....guess not though...
doesnt seem like something to worry about

Same thing here, '07 6MT with 4500 miles, notice it when I take off quickly, or accelerate quickly touching 5+k rpm in each gear. It smells like burning rubber. I will try it tomorrow again, pull over and pop the hood to see if I can isolate it.

Don't think it is the brakes or clutch. Bizzare!

Damn, yours actually overheats? I just got back from the track last weekend and it got hot, but it never overheated to the point where smoke was coming out of the hood. Thats with 3 30-100 runs in 1 lap and like 15 laps...and I'm on stock cooling.

And no, I didn't get any weird smells or anything, just the brakes.

I've been recently noticing this same thing. Weird thing is that it definitely smells like burning oil and I get it more from the rear of the car than the engine area. And its when I run 5-6+k revs for short time (I drive lots of short trips).

Mine is also an 07 6mt with about 4500 miles on it and I've had the first oil change already. I figured my car was burning oil...

Check your oil homie, your car may be more than likely burning oil. Im starting an oil consumption test with my local dealer.

I don't think it overheats...im not sure. The temp guage stays with in one click, but when i stop you can smell burning and you will see a little 9almost none)smoke come out from under the hood...im still on the factory coolant (107K miles).

I'm reading about a lot of the same symptoms caused by the aggressive driving. There's a lot of people acknowledging this issue but has anyone found a resolution?

I like driving my G aggressively...
