Btchin Board
I have noticed over at Freshalloy that the forum has become nothing more than a platform to complain. I read one post saying Ford built more dependable cars. Please allow me to vent.
1.These are new models and buyers should expect bugs. Infiniti will correct these gracefully and to the best of their ability, at least that has been my experience.
2. With regard to the coupe, what are the expectations from a stiff riding sports coupe. This is not a Lexus sedan. It is a drivers car. It will have some rattles etc. I had no illusions about this. I am very pleased with how rattle free it is given how stiff the platform is.
3. "My shifter vibrates" is getting tired. For those that don't want to feel the car, get an automatic. My shifter vibrates too, I like it that way. For those with transmission problems, I have not read anywhere that Infiniti is not jumping to fix these problems.
4, "The interior is cheap". Ever check out a Z06. Enough said.
And on and on and on. I love this car. I can afford more but for the price, there is nothing out there that comes close except perhaps the 350Z. If something goes wrong, Infiniti always do their best to fix the problems. Customer service at the dealership I use is as good or better that it was where I got my Lexus. It's ok to talk about the issues but I'm sick of the whining attitude of some out there. Anyone else feel this way? Or do I stand alone on this?
I think someone should post a Prozac link over at Freshalloy. Some of the people there need to be medicated.

Re: Btchin Board
Wow. Someone actually said FORD built better cars?
I haven't had any complaints quality wise about my G. As far as the interior goes, I have had two MB owners say the quality of the leather is better.
For 35K, Find a better value for this type of car. Motor Trend couldn't and that is why it is the 2003 Car of the Year.

Re: Btchin Board
I agree with you on that note sam. I think people expect way to much from a car these days. They want it to be smooth and rattle free, yet want it to handle like a go cart. Not gonna happen. You will never get a car with 18 inch wheels on it that doesn't feel a little stiff and harsh on bumps. That is what I like. This is a drivers car and that's why I bought it. I like to hear the engine roar and feel the shifter rattle and feel every little rock on the road. Makes me feel confident that wherever I point this car it will go. If a person buys a car for the interior appointments then they shouldn't buy a sports coupe. That is not the intention of a sports coupe. It was built to drive first. Everything else is second. So in closing, I love the car and as long as it doesn't shake me so hard that I throw up or become so loud that I can't hear the stereo I won't be giving this baby back anytime soon.

Re: Btchin Board
haha, well said guys. With such high expectations, and high praise, I guess it's easy to nit-pic.
In my opinion it's a great car, not perfect, just great. And that's good enough for me.......Enjoy your rides

Yep, no car is perfect until they can stroke me and put me away wet, plus drive me home while I sleep. Heheheheheh

What I see here is no different than in other forums. On Miata.net people complain about noises, paint, clutches, etc. The Miata is about as reliable as a car can be,there are thousands of 8-10 year old Miatas still running effortlessly and to read the threads you'd think the car was a POS.I guess some folks are **** about their cars.

My Z06 is smooth, rattle free, and handles like a go-cart, cheap interior and all
Granted, its $50k, but that's another story...
Even the best cars in the world will always have their share of complainers and unsatisfied customers. No car is perfect, and you gotta weigh the pros and cons of the car and decide what matters to you the most. People complaining about a stiff ride in the G35 obviously didn't do their homework before buying the car. Not everyone wants a drivers car, and its clear these people don't. Some prefer a living room sofa on wheels and don't want hear or feel anything when driving. That's not for me, but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Actually, my automatic shifter vibrates too, sometimes.
I like it. Buy a damn Buick if you don't want to feel the road.

Re: Btchin Board
Yes, very well said. What cracks me up is the post where someone will list all the bells & whistles they would like to see standard but keep the price the same. Not to mention crazy options. {on the cheap} I guess there is no problem with dreaming.
Re: Btchin Board
I don't get why people complain about the vibration.
What's a running engine supposed to do? If there was no vibration at all I would constantly wonder if the car was on. I've never been in a car that has absolutely no vibration. Does one exist?
Maybe an electric car or a hybrid.
People just need to pull the ***** out of their *** and be happy with the car.
I've become very happy with my G35, no complaints here.
Oh just one, the damn navi doesn't play DVD movies. Then again I bought the car to drive not to become a mobile theater.

Sing it Brotha! I couldn't agree more! This is my first "Brand New" car and absolutely love it. The car is an outstanding value and I can't understand why poeple would expect so much. It's Sports Car those sounds belong there! I want to here the tarmac flying by, the engine revving hard, and some wind noise too. I think for those whom don't, buy an lexus or a benz or even a Q45. They will do an outstanding job of isolating you from the what you are in the car to do. Drive.... So drop the clutch, hit the hammer, and let the sheep continue to baahhh = )
