Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

What the hell does working for your car have to do with waving back at someone in a similar make/model car? It really is not that big a deal if the person in another car doesn't acknowledge you if you wave at them. Our main concern on the road should be driving and concentrating on the safety of other drivers on the road and the safety of pedestrians. Although I always smile back when someone waves to me, I do not find it necessary to do so. In fact, it is pretty weird. You don't know what the other person really has in mind. When I was renting a ptcruiser in baltimore for an internship, some guy stopped me in a dangerous part of town and leaned out the window to chat with me. Of course I happily had a few kind words with him at the light, when it turned green, I left and he was upsest. Great. Don't think too much about it guys. Even if someone gives you the middle finger, just try not to let it bother you. People's safety are at hand here. No need for road rage or a lack of concentration.

I usually dont look at anyone in their cars while driving, and its not to be an *** or something. I just dont look, so if someone is giving me a thumbs up I wont see them. Why cant people understand this?

avalon96- I agree with you...I usually nod...but that's it, I never wave unless i know someone personally
As for the "buying your car", In my opinion - I have a few friend that their parents gave them their car...and they are very "stuffy" about it...stick their noses up and sorts...that's it...wish my parents bought me my car..but they never did...then I would have more money to spend on "furs and diamonds" - again...only my opinion...(I think I officially pissed someone off )

I'm lucky where I am, there's very few G35c here. When I spot one, we usually wave or nod. Man, I get a lot of looks too. Unlike Kerry, the looks I get are strictly for the car. lol

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

I got to drive a Gray 350z in Cali this past August, and a HOT middle aged woman in a gray 350 chatted with me at a light. I was very lost with the NAV, going from Beverly to Malibu, on Santa Monica Blvd near Brentwood in Friday rushhour traffic. It was a nice exchange, that never happens here on the East Coast. Given the 350 had been out a while, she still was happy to see another gray car like hers. For LA it was surprising, she musta been a nice lady. Keep an eye out for her, I wish I could!

I am used to the attention with my VR4- Kerry, are you onb 3si.org? Too bad the 3k is out of production..

Not seeing the other car/driver is one thing and understandable, but its still a little rude to just flat out disrespect IMHO. I guess I am used to riding a motorcycle and since we all tend to acknowledge each other with a wave or peace sign as we pass.... I am used to that kind of thing.

Kerry, a very nice choice in vehicle by the way! Im glad you didnt take the typical family mini van route! haha.

those who gets thumbs up and stuff you guys are lucky... in boston, ma people are mean. When i'm in my coupe lots of people stare like they just saw a ferrarri.... but i mostly get fly by's from bunches of cars. The other day some IP sedan flies by and next thing i knew he had to make a right turn so he just stomped on brakes. what a turd.

Same way here in Tampa. Happened to pull up next to another G-coupe at a light today, Glanced over several times to at least give a nod and the dude would'nt even acknowledge me. I think he was just jealous that I had splash guards and he didn't! Anyway, I always try for at least a nod.

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

Guys, I may be wrong but there's about 13,000 G's on the road, and less than 600 members in this forum (please accept my apology if I'm wrong), maybe the other 12,400 owners are not like us. To them it's just a car. Sad, but true. peace.

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

I can understand if they need to look at the road and don't see me. Its when they look over/back and do nothing or react poorly! That's what gets me!

The "G" can;t be just a car... NEVER!

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

i see over 10 G's a day on my way to school.
i dont really try to nod or anything, but i do look at their cars when i'm stopped at a light or passing by slow.
i dont think people are being ****** if they dont acknowledge your nodding.

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

Moe - No I did not know abut car forums until somehow I stumbled on the G35driver forum...no clue how...I just went to the 3si.org...wow...should have gone there years ago...
AND I COMPLETLY retract my last statement about someone "else" buying there car for the (please see my previous post)...someone made a very valid point...The car is probably just another car to them...I may only speak of myself, but when I buy a car...it becomes part of the family...my 4th child - 2 human kids, 1 furry kid and one mechanical kid...
ps...my hubby bought the mini van HA...

Re: GOT A COLD LOOK FROM A G-COUPE

3si.org is an interesting board, not as mature as G35driver.com though. Some female members have banded together, so it can be a very welcoming place with the exception of occasional "leghumpers" as they are called. Some of these 'kids' find women sports car owners very attractive, though this is often assisted by those who flaunt their pics to get attention. Don't let any of that discourage you.

blusilvr is my handle on 3si, I own the 91-92 Twin Turbo model.

LMAO - Leg humpers....too funny...but the worst thing is I know what you are talking about.
Na...I appreciate the site, it would have done a world of difference many years ago, but now it is time to move on and get a new car...
Hopefully someone will buy my 3000GT for a fair price...tonight I go to the Infiniti dealer to find out what price he will give me as a trade in...(and also to test drive again...can never get enough test driving)
Thanks a bunch,
Kerry
