I was driving home North on 315 near OSU, and a red G pulls up and the driver looks over. I give him a thumbs up and he (frowns) at me and guns it.....what an ***!
What's up with that....
BTW.....is there any really cheap G coupes here? It was Red, cloth inside w/o sun. Prob. had nothing on it. He's driving like the [censored] Bimmers around here!

Don't feel too bad bro.....Its happened to me more times than I like to mention here in the friendly state of "new Jersey".
I drive a major Highway that basically runs the whole length of the state, (Garden State Parkway).
In the course of my daily commute, I on occasion encounter other coupe/sedan owners as well.....I think the fact that we as members of this forum are a little shall we say "****" about the car itself, tend to think everyone should be as enthusiastic about the product as ourselves....
The hard truth is many G owners could care less about waving or acknowledgement to any one....they just want to go about their lives....
I know which ones are usually which....
the ones with 4 months of brake dust on their rims and two pounds of road salt and dirt are what I like to think of as non-interested owners....
But it does **** me off when I see and acknowledge a nice clean or modified G coupe or Sedan and they give the "my $hit doesn't stink" attitude well thats just rude....
takes all types my friend....live and let live....2old4this
if it makes you feel any better.....a verbal thumbs up to ya!!!!!

GR8TG35 - I agree with you...but being I am a woman drivng a sports car...(currently driving a 3000GT till my G baby arrives) I have guys nodding and giving me the "thumbs-up" but I think it's because I am a girl in a sports car. Same thing happened when I had my 300Z...
Don't worry...I'll wave...Nod...thumbs up...or even stop if your in an accident...

I still hardly ever see other coupes on the road. When I do, a 'thumb's up' definitely comes their way. I am starting to notice a lot of Sedans and 350Zs now though.
Kfloydlezak, I would have to agree with your observation about women driving sports cars. I saw a young lady driving a 911 Turbo Cabriolet last summer and she was getting A LOT of attention from the other drivers.

Trying not to sound sexist, but I never give attention to women in expensive cars. I'd say the chances are pretty good that the car is paid for by their husband. If she is attractive, it just pisses me off that probably some guy is with her because of his $$$.
(apologies to women who bought their own)

I find this true also.....

WOW...didn't know you guys thought that way (I don't take it as a sexist remark)...when I had my Z, I had tons, and I mean tons of looks...not sure if it was me or the car....I still get looks with the 3000GT...but I don't think as many (maybe I am looking/getting older)...we will have to see with the G...but I also bought a sedan...so maybe no looks at all (frowning)..
But I do appreciate that comment about hubby's buying the cars...never knew that came to mind...just for the record, I have always bought my own cars...but then again, my hubby and I share our money...

Well Kerry, haven't seen what you look like but one thing's for sure, you'll be getting looks with your new G. It's one sexy looking car. I'm willing to bet that if you've been getting looks when you owned the GT and 300Z, you're not so bad yourself. lol Have fun with your G when it arrives.

lol..thanks for the vote of confidence...I had to give up my "sports" car when I had my second child, so I figured this is the way to "ease" into parenthood...buy a G Sedan...

You know...I was just about to post something this morning when I got to work cause I was so pissed. This morning it's raining pretty hard in San Diego...driving north on the 15 and I see a G's lights in my mirror about 6 cars back (cause I'm psychotic and know exactly what the G's lights look like from that far back with 5 other cars in between). So I gradually slow down and let him catch up. See him approaching and see it's a black coupe w/ clear corners. Now...first...let me just say that I've had my G for 1 year, 2months and 24 days (told you I was psychotic ) here in San Diego and I see maybe 1 coupe a week and maybe two sedans a week. Though all this time I always give a "peace" sign out my sunroof or a head nod and a smile...something...to every G I pass...old person or not (older guys please don't take offense)...and I've only had ONE, count it...ONE person give me a positive sign back. It really pisses me off. Back to my story...so I wait for this guy this morning and I see him approaching...he has clear corners and a front lip spoiler...to me, that's a sign of someone who would most likely be on this forum or something...or at least respect my clear corners, and PIAA LED wedges, sidemarkers and fogs...but the ***** kept driving by with his nose in the air and didn't even acknowledge me...I got really pissed...sorry...just had to vent...where's the love...???????

LOL! Maybe its just red coupe owners in general? On the Garden State Parkway, I saw a red coupe go past while I was merging on, so I dropped it into 2nd and caught up just to say hi. He probably thought I was racing or something and just gave me an evil look.
One thing that is funny though, to get to work, I have to drive through a ghetto. And I'll always get a "thug" nod when passing another G coupe in that area. I'm always in a button down shirt and they are usually in an oversized jersey. Mutual respect I guess.

You know what...I bet it's because the people who are nodding have worked for their money and understand that this is a gift...and not a hand out...just my opinion...

When I was vacationing in Germany last year, friend who lives there gave me to drive his M3 (e46) for a day. You should've seen the attention I got from other M3 owners and I'm not even counting other cars. Guys and girls waived, yelled smiling, honk and threw 'piece' signs. When I told him, he said that the reason he loves living in Europe, not snobby and ignorat like here in US.
