Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

This is my dilemma; I have my eye on an 03 right now, but if the Grubbs thread proves true at the NYC car show, I am sensing that a lot of 03 owners will trade up. This combined with 2 year leases coming up, could make 03 preowned coupes a very good deal sometime in the next year.

I'd post a poll, don't think we can though.
03 Coupe Owners;
Will U keep your JLO Booty Coupes? Answer Here

First of all, they wouldn't want mine for trade in with the mods, and it's paid for. Maybe in 2009.

If the 2005 G is going to be like they say they are...then I don't want it.

Maybe the exterior will be phat but the interior ... well I love the G interior now

Well I love my plastic interior, surgery, and credit cards. Just kidding. I love my G as is and can do my own personal touch to make it different and increase the resale at the same time. Cars are like computers you can keep trading up and up until your wallet goes down and down. So I accept the fact
that due to it being a business changes are inevitable. This is where the guys with leases come out ahead. No long term committment thus the ability to get the new. I am a long termer so I'll enjoy my G is long as I please. This car is way ahead of it's time. Any other model that pushes the envelope, will not be able to push this envelope out of the way.
Our G's whether they be 2003s are 2008s have made their mark. Now take that to the bank. My routing code is.........

I'm extremely happy with my '03.5 6MT, but I sure would love to see spy photos of the '05 interior. I'm almost walking distance from the Javits center here in NYC though, so when the auto show starts in April I'll bop right over to see it in person. I hope I don't lust for it too badly after I do...

Re: Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

The interior was the majority of the reason why I got the car, I happen to love it. I've driven alot more luxury cars then most have, and can honestly say functionality and the way the interior of the G was designed blows the current Mercedes and BMW interiors out of the market. If you don't like the "cheesy materials" remember what you paid for this car, and what others think you paid for this car.

Oh yeah then go drive it and you'lll probably say...what problems with the interior? I'm more than happy with my 2003.5 and changing the winning design of the G now might impact sales adversely.

Re: Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

It's always expected for a particular model car to evolve with the years.....its just a fact of life...I personally do not have too much to gripe about with the current cars looks either inside or out....
Many here have stated they feel the console and grab handle seem....shall we say not up to infiniti standard...but with changes usually comes a higher price tag..

If they do indeed make changes to the interior,,,maybe the parts will be interchangable....who knows...anyway...I like what I have....if it changes great...maybe by the next time around it will have 400hp and targa top and all wheel drive and a price tag of over 40,000 + so are cars will hold up even better in resale value for the used car market...either way I think we all win......
I was thinking of going from my AT to a 6MT...but after all the advice regarding the hit I would take...I'll just wait for another couple of years and see what happens....I'm still going to get a test drive in a 6MT....If I like it I just wait for the cards to stack in my favor rather than the dealers.....<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

don't know have to see the car in person but from the description it just sounds like the same car with some interior mods and a different body kit. the loss on the resale of the car + the high prices when the car 1ST comes out it might come out cheaper if you buy the parts and change p the car your self. but we wont know if the parts are interchangeable or not

Re: Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

It's all relative. Sure, I hear people complain about the interior, but you won't hear a peep coming from me. I came from a Pontiac GTP, so to me, the G35 interior is like a bentley <IMG src="http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/060.gif"/>, so don't tell me the G35 has cheap looking plastic, cause I'll show you cheap lookin' plastic...

already talking about 05's? I'm on my 2nd year of owning my 03 and still loving her more every day. I'm not ready to think about trading her in anytime soon.

Re: Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

Guys, we can't make a decision about the interior because we don't even know what it looks like yet!

Here is my dilemma:

1) Assuming the G35c interior looks good, trade my 5AT for a 6MT 05' coupe w/ NAV

2) Wait until 07' when the GT-R comes to the U.S.

hmmm....

Re: Who will trade 03 for the 05 coupe?

everyone is all like "i'm gonna wait til 07' and then get the GTR" but the bottom line is that GTR will Prolly (i have no idea, just guessing) having the price anywhere from 70k-80k) right up there with some of the most expensive and exotic cars. and truth is that (not being disrespectful) a lot of people who owns the G, wont' be able to buy a GTR
