I saw on the instruction manual that there are some surfaces where the suction cups for this radar detector shouldn't be put, like on a porsche's, because of some coating. Is it safe to put the 8500 on the G's windshield???

I have mine on my front windshield. I hope there are no problems. However, if you check my350z.com there's a guy selling an adapter that hangs off the rear view mirror.
