Which G35 Coupe came with these options?

Im searching for a G35 coupe in my area but i cant seem to find one with a navigation system inside... i know the sedan came with one and ive seen a few pictures of cars with the navigation/onboard computer (with a harddrive for music) built in....

also a brembo big break kit... they did come with this right? was it on a limited amount of Gs or what? Just wondering why its so hard to find these....

thanks for the help

OK

To clear things up. Brembo Brakes came on the '03 and '04 with 6MT - Only. This was not an option but standard, but only on the 6 speed only in those two years.

Navigation - An option since inception on the Coupe. But, only available with and in addition to the Premium Package. Also in coupes that have it ('03-'07) it is a pop-up screen that you may not see. In coupes that don't have it the area where the pop-up screen would be is a cubby. No hardrive for music. The top glove compartment on Navigation equipped models houses the DVD that powers the navigation. In non navigation models that space, again, is used for storage.

To get the brembos on an 03-04 you needed the sport tire package (not sure if thats the name). You will get 18" rims and the brembo's on a MT car.

You are correct about all of your assumptions about the nav. I wanted everything you described as well, but i can say that i put an Aftermarket Alpine nav in my cubby that looks exactly stock. I think it was a smarter move on my part.

The brembo's, well it would have been nice to have gold calibers, but can't be choosy when looking for one certain interior/exterior color..

No - Brembos were not an option on the 5AT. They came standard, but only with the 6MT.

ah awesome, thanks for the help guys... I thought the navigation had a hard drive for music... my manager has the sedan and it has a hard drive.... or at least he said so. anyways, what other options were out for the g35? I may just forget about the big brake kit and the navi.... i can always upgrade later.

and is the stick version of the G35 much better than the auto? I might get an auto just because its more convenient with my commute.

Get the 6MT. I live in the DC area and I'm in traffic all the time and even in traffic that's crawling I can leave the G in 1st and let the engine's torque do the work. I've gone up hills without ever touching the gas. I test drove a 5AT and just wasn't satisfied with the performance and I wasn't a big fan of the manu-matic mode or whatever it's called.

In '03 and '04, the 5AT Brakes were nothing to write home about. They were far to touchy, had terrible feel and faded quickly. If, at the time, I was in the market for an auto, I would not have bought the "G" because of the brakes. Later, as I recall, they was an extended warranty for the 5AT brakes due to excessive wear.

BTW, no musical hard drive in any "G" for music until the '08 coupe.

When did i say anything about a AT? I think in my post i stated the 6mt fact.

Anyhow, what makes a 6mt better than a 5at? I think better is subjective. I assume in a real sports car MT is the only way to go.

Don't want to start an argument, but read what you said. You said Brembos came with the "Sport Tire Package", they did not. What was available was the Performance Tire and Wheel Package which meant 18" wheels, LSD, and Titanium Interior Trim. This package was available with the 5AT.

I'm not saying the 6MT is better, as you say that is a subjective thing. But, for me it is better. I have never owned an automobile with an automatic transmission, and I have been driving for 52 years (probable longer than you've been alive)

i think he just ment you needed the 18's to clear the brembos... the 18's witch was an option for 5AT's but came standerd on 6MT... he may have not known that

the 2003-2004 came with the Big Brake Brembro Brake kit.... And I know for sure the coupe's come with Nav cause mine has it as an '05.
I am almost completely certain their wasnt an onboard computer until the g-37 though, thats the big catch seller for the new 37.
Worst case check out Autotrader.com, and ebay ect you'll find a new g.
