64000 miles and hear comes the problems

okay so i have an 04 and everytime i start my car in the cold i let it warm up till the needle moves than i pull off, but i hear some weird noises coming from my engine. than i also hear some howling noise coming from my sunroof i think. Those noises go away when the car is at optimum temp. Than when i get on a highway and i do more than 80 i hear wind coming through my driverside window. and the window is all the way up. Please dont tell me i shouldnt be doing more than 80 i just want to know if anyone has experienced any of these problems and if anyone has any solutions besides the dealer

Will the window thing is cause the window regulator isn't going to its fully closed position. My 03" has a air whistle from the passenger side window right now. So the regulator needs to be replaced and/or realigned the glass.

could be the weather stripping around the window... check and make sure the seal is good and not bent out of shape or something...

I have some wind noise coming from my driverside window, around the mirror area. I replaced the weatherstrip $150! and still the same crap. I did notice that when they did my tints the guy was having a sh*t load of trouble doing the driverside tint. I asked him and he said it kept on bubbling/coming off by the mirror area etc..... Could it be in need of minor adjustment? This is the only complain i have on this car. It happens at speeds 70 or above. I was going 130 the other day and it felt like i had a midget blowing through a whistle! So???????

Its not my seal. I'm not sure if there adjustable. but when i was under warranty the driverside regulator had to get replaced. thats right after it was makin that noise near the mirror. Now my pass. side is doing it.

I think there is a section on the service manual which explains how to reset and adjust the regulator.... Anyway, i am going to give it a shot this weekend.

Hey Man, I had this EXACT same issue. I *THOUGHT* my window was rolled up all the way too, until I finally decided to look close up and realized that the window was 'shifted' down some in the frame or something.

So basically go out to the car and triple check the SEAL from the window glass to the rubber seal right by the side view mirror. !!! IT'S NOT GOING TO BE A LARGE GAP, YOU'LL HAVE TO FEEL FOR IT!!!

*You might not necessarily SEE the gap, but it's probably there...feel for it man. Every time I hit 85mph + I got the same wind noise:

https://g35driver.com/forums/interior/115623-wind-noise-85mph-near-driver-rear-view.html

Go to the dealer and have them re-set the window, that's what they did for me.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Guys!

I have the same noise coming from my pass. side window. I think it might be the seal. since my car has 60k miles.

I have that same noise coming from the motor! When its cold only and its kinda like a deep squeaky whiny noise. Is yours the same?

I dont think its a big deal! I think it is just because its cold.

I had the same problem on my 6mt. Dealer said it was the transmission and they replaced it.

well first time around i told them it grinds around 6k rpms shifting to 3rd. They couldn't replicate. I also told them there was a holwing noise coming from the engine/tranny driving when the car is warming up crusing at 35-40mph. The howling noise tone changes as i accel/decelerate. When the vehicle is fully warmed up to operating temp, the howling noise goes away. The heard the howling noise and said I will get a new transmission. I was at 30k miles.

accordfreak, where are you/what dealership did you take your 35 to that they took care of the tranny issue? many of us are having the same problem and the dealers are telling us that its 'normal'. we are looking for the diagnosis and maybe even a contact number for the dealerships that are fixing this so we can put leverage on the dealers near us.
