Hot start problem
Hot start problem
I have 700 miles on my G35C 5AT. After driving about 30 miles, ambient temp about 70 degrees, I stopped for gas. The engine was off maybe 5 minutes. On restart the engine cranked but wouldn't start. I tried 3 times, cranking 2-3 seconds each time, but no joy. On the 4th try it started. This problem has occurred on one occasion only.
I ran a search on All Forums but couldn't find anything like this. None of the TSBs I could find seemed to address this. Could it be a key initialization problem? Does the Nissan Anti-Theft System allow the engine to crank but not start if there is a problem with the car reading the key?
Comments appreciated.

Re: Hot start problem
I've heard of this before.
I think there is either a TSB or a recall on something that causes this.
take it to the dealer. The only problem is that you'll have to replicate the problem at the dealer.
