My dad would be the co-signer on the car so i could get a better rate through his insurance. I have about 5 grand saved up now, and after i sell my car i would have another 6 grand once the car is sold. The G i am looking at is going to be around $18000. Another thing, my step mom works for 21st century auto insurance, so i also get a deal from that. I guess you can kind of say i am lucky to be in the spot where i am, although i do plan on moving out in about 2 years.
