Angel Eyes For Our Cars...

What do you guys think of this. I got a friend that gets the rings custom made in brazil to fit any car. All you need t do is measure the ring around the headlight and your get them made. Im gona have this done to my G35c soon and will post pics. Is there anyone else that might be interested in this as well??

I dont think its quite that easy just to measure the ring and slap it on. I think a few people have tried this already and no one's really been able to do it.

You mean like this? Indeed, it's not that easy. You need to bake the assembly to soften the glue in order to crack open the housing, then design a way to mount the ring of lamps, then wire it all up so the final product is worthy of the car (not just hacked in).

There's a reason it's so expensive from Clear Corners.com .

Re: Angel Eyes For Our Cars...

I'm a newbie. What kind of difference is it between the headlamps that come with the 6MT and the HID lights that are 820 dollars at clearcorners.com?

Thanks,
-Chris

Huh??? There isn't a difference in HID. They might be using a different bulb, maybe a higher K rating. But clearcorners, is selling white lense turn signal, not amber. Or custom LED's in place of our standard bulbs.

Oh ok, whoops, my bad man. I just get kinda frustrated when I see people jumpin all over new members cause they didn't do a search. I just mistook your response tho...my fault.

gte192t - There are a couple differences between the stock headlights and the ones from www.clearcorners.com. Well, first, there is a difference in the lights they sell for the Coupe vs. Sedan. The sedan lights have a ring of LEDs around both the low and the high/fog light housings, whereas the coupe lights don't. But other than that, they paint the inside of the light assembly black (or whatever color you want). Also, they remove the orange lens cover from the parking light so it only lights up orange; doesn't look orange when looking at it. Finally, they fill the clearance strip with LEDs as opposed to the crappy yellowish bulb that's in there from the factory. I think that's it...did I forget anything?

Re: Angel Eyes For Our Cars...

I guess my confusion is:

The HEADLAMP which clearcorner sells is 820 dollars. Is this supposed to be a replacement for the G35C HEADLAMP, or an upgrade to the factory headlamp?

As for the clearcorner side blinkers, I am aware the differences between what clearcorner sells and what comes on the coupe from the factory (clear plastic and amber bulb vs. amber plastic and amber/clear bulb)

Re: Angel Eyes For Our Cars...

Hey the reason its 820 is because they send you a new headlamp. You dont have to take yours for them to redo it. The head lamp has a clear lens it and is also LED inside of it.. That about it for the coupe. But for the Sedan its a whole different story.

Clearcorners.com has a full description of what they did to achieve the clear/led headlamps.

Rash,
Clearcorners doesn't send you a new headlight assembley, you have to send them yours for modification.
