anyone know if i will be able to take it? I was driving to work today, I usually drive fast naturally, but lookin in my rearview i see these 2 girls in a white 745i catching up to me, so i go faster, then we finally at a light, i decided to let them pass me up, but that car is huge, any idea if I would of taken it easily or what?

 

well, it does have a V8......325HP? (around there) 350 torque?....i dunno how much it weighs (looks heavier than a G35C).....pretty much same top speed as ours.......(149mph)....maybe you can wink at the girls next time u see em and see if they'll "entertain" your question.....

 

Ive test driven a 745. It was weird, slamming on the gas didnt feel like i was accelerating fast, the car felt heavy. I think the seats and your surroundings make the feel of accelerating diminish slightly (i was basking in the feel of the airconditioned leather seats on a hot day. But, it gets up to 60 before you know it. I looked down and all of a sudden i was going 70ish. It feels slower than you are going. I think it would be a close race and a 6mt would probably win.

what do u have on your car? cause I burned one of new 745iL.
It wasnt that much of difference but They can catch up pretty fast

 

I don't know why you care so much, don't kill yourself trying to outrun another car. Why didn't you let the girls catch up.. I would have, rolled down the window and said nice car.

My father and i just bought our mom one. I know it wasnt her because i told her to break it in around 2500 miles or so.

But the one we test drove was fast. That car is amazing. We got it fully loaded. The seat have heated seats, air conditioned seats, and massagers. This car is real bad ***. I will post a pic of it.

As for beating it. I dont think so.
When you shift it into sport mode. Its a whole different machine. The one we test drove of cource wasnt the one we bought. While my brother took the 745 for the test drive. I hopped into my coupe and wanted to see for my self. The guy who was letting us test drive the 7 was a close family friend so he didnt care. As for the race i was saying. My brother got on me about 1 car lenght. I tried to catch up but there was noo way.

Even thou its heavy its got alot of potential.

i raced one from 70 mph in auto and it was about the same.... untill the slight turn in the road when I took him. I heard someone post last week that they kept beating a 745i by a cars lentgh from street lights ... and they were auto....
