Need opinions & advice, soon if possible!
Hi all,
The story in a nutshell:
- I'm supposed to pick up my G35c today
- I shipped it across the country, so it is sitting at a rail depot
- I can only pick it up during work hours
- I don't have a car right now
So, I have a friend at work who is going to take me to get it at lunch today, but the problem is - when I woke up this morning, I discovered it is lightly snowing! Not much - you can barely see it when you walk around, and it is all melting once it hits the ground. You can't really even tell it is snowing unless you look hard.... It is above freezing, and the forecast is that the scattered snow is only supposed to last for the beginning of the morning.
The car will not have winter tires on it. Will I be ok to pick it up as long as I drive really slowly? After picking it up at the train station, I'm dropping it off at an auto shop to get inspected...
I would prefer not to wait because:
A) If I don't get it today, I can't get it till Monday
B) I already felt bad having my friend at work drive me around town at lunch, and don't want to put him out by switching days around etc.
Let me know what you guys think....

I have heard that the stock tires can be not the greatest on wet roads. I will certainly not push the car at all, and drive quite slowly, but it's not going to slide out on me making a reeaall slow turn I hope!
Slide a couple times on purpose on your way to the main roads. By then, you'll get to the feel of how much control your working with. Just little slides now, and watch out for them curbs. They come out of nowhere.
Ur over reacting granted the tires aren't the greatest but it's not like ur gonna slip and slide going 30 mph lol, just go get it. and yea deezflip is right just try kockin it in some big empty parking lot so u know what ur workin with.
Bring her home......!
My suggestion is to get her home ASAP and into the garage. Just be carefull
on the drive home and thank your friend for his help........that's what friends
do!
