This is for the coupe owners. I talked to a friend who makes custom bodykits about the Impul kit for the coupe. He said they can make a complete replica kit as early as monday under these conditions:

10 pre-orders for a fiberglass kit
25 pre-orders for a urethane kit. I tried 20 but he said the mold for a urethane kit alone is too expensive.

Total for the full kit would be $1675 fiberglass and $1950 urethane.

I just wanted to see what the interest would be before I get rolling on it. He lives 20 miles from me so I have no problem contacting him often. I'd like to get urethane but I don't know if 25 people is too much to ask. Let me know what you all think. Any suggestions? Quesions?

I am close to getting free shipping on at least the first group. Also, since there is a rear lip replica already, I might have that taken out of the package to lower the price. Let me know what you all think.

Is it possible to just buy the front bumper in fiberglass for a better price than offered by IMPUL?

Since I'm local, if I get $1400-$1500 I'm DEFINATELY IN for FG (assuming kits have good fitment). Are these going to be full bumpers like the original? (no half skirts or lips)

Wicked, are you saying $1400-1500 for the full kit or without the rear lip? He is going to use an actual Impul kit to do an exact replica, so yes the bumpers will be the same as the original. And yes if you live in So. Cali don't worry about shipping cost, they can be picked up.

I spoke with my friend last night over the phone and told him this thing isn't really moving. So far there are only 2 people including myself. A suggestion from wickedG35 was to lower the price to 1400-1500. He agreed on $1525 firm for the whole kit . Shipping will still be approx. $100 insured Freight Collect (paid when the kit arrives at your door). Also, if you live in So. Cal, you can pick them up.

As far as foglights, we can all decide on which foglights to use and the design will be based on those. The front licence plate holes shown on the original kit (SEE PICTURE) can be taken out to look like the OEM front lip. Of course since it is a custom job, we can design however we want as long as everyone agrees on the same thing.

So what type of material would the kit be made out of for $1525? Fiberglass or a urethane material? How many buyers do you need at that price? What kind of guarantee can you give us on fit and finish of the material. What would be the time frame on such a job? When would the kits start to ship?

I would feel more comfortable in escrowing the $1525 and releasing it only after I get the kit and check its fit and finish.

The $1525 price is a drop from the original quote of $1675 (first post on this thread), which refers to a fiberglass kit and a min. order or 10 people. As far as fit, he will be using an actual impul kit to replicate. Using my coupe, we will be able to assure perfect fitment.

As far as escrow, I would have to bring that up with him.

please list what's included in the whole kit.impul's kit includes front bumper,rear bumper,side skirts,rear wing,front grill emblem and frog lamp harness.thanks

 

Emblem and fog lamp harness are not included. He is replicating the actual body kit only. We are looking into a nice, inexpensive foglight to design the kit around.
