i love the car...but

...my driverside window is messed up..apprently according to nissan that i have to change my regulator and my motor = $640...just for a window = [[.

yuuuuuuup..2003 w/ 70,000 miles...i get depressed everytime i think bout it lol

This is a known problem with all the G35 Coupe window motors/regulators. The right thing for the dealership to do is either "good will" the job, or discount it as it's a factory defect and all or most of us have replaced this part at least once or even more often. Good luck.

isn't a window and power lock motors like barely $50 ??
I was gonna get an alarm installed and my buddy working at the shop told me my power lock motor on my passenger is really weak, he could hook up a new one for $25

I was quoted for $585. My drivers is getting weak and will go at some point. I would look into the part and an indy shop. There maybe a DYI for this too.

Does it come back down like halfway when you do auto-up? Mine does that too and ive been lazy about getting it fixed. boo

I hear that one of the causes of the window motor failure is closing the door by pushing on the window.. So I close my door by pushing on the black trim piece right near the window.

I have had to replace this same part on 3 of my previous cars and 3 times (on my old saturn SC2) If you buy the part which is usually only about $150 it should only take you an hour or so to take the door apart and change it.
