steering wheel shaking

hey everyone i have an 06 coupe with close to 19,000 miles, the dealer changed my brakes about 2 months ago, when i step on my brakes now i get a funny slight vibration in the wheel, can it be that my rotors may need to cut?

It's probably the rotors since you said it only does it when you hit the brakes. They're either warped or weren't cut when they did the brake job most likely.

Did the shaking just start, or has it done it since the day they did the brakes?

The rotors should of been CUT or Replaced. They did 1/2 the job.

if you had stock rotors installed they are prolly overheated and now need to be turned.

You will be having this issue all the time until you change your rotors.

Nissan/Infiniti rotors suck *****.

I would not reccomend turning your rotors. The never last quite as long. Just get some new ones and your problem will be fixed. Did your dealer charge you for any rotor work? If so you got hosed.

Infiniti brakes lasted me just over 10k. Sounds like you need to uprade or replace your brakes. Stoptech make a upgraded brake kit which includes rotors, pads, and stainless steel brake lines.

How much did they charge ya?

You'll probably want to try to pay closer attention to the details next time you have work like that done on your car. Ask them specifically what they're going to do on the brake change, and have them put it in writing on the receipt/bill so that you have proof of what they said they would do.
