Issues..

Just recently I went ahead and added an additional gasket to my plenum. It was hissing and leaking air so the additional gasket fixed that. At that time I removed both upper and lower plenum and cleaned the collected oil in the collector duct. I also DX'd my throttle body and cleaned it with MAF cleaner, ad cleaned my MAF as well. My issue now is i'm idling weird. When I turn the car on, the rpms shoot up to 2.5 k and stay there till i go into drive. Then when i'm driving and press on the break, the rpms begin to decrease like normal, till i believe it drops to 2nd and the rpm shoots up to about 1.7, 1.8k then it drops to 1st. You can feel the car attempting to accelerate during slow down. Any know what may be causing this?

Oh yea, when i'm at a stop my rpms are usually at 1.2-1.4k's a bit jumpy.

You perform the idle relearn procedure that one must do when disconnecting the TB?

I've never done it. I think it's mentioned here. Post it if you find it.

Try disconnecting the battery for 12 hours.

I could never do those stupid reset things. You gotta time all that ****. Never worked out for me.

After I installed my Intake and spacer I just did the 12 hours reset.

Now the double gasket sounds kinda gay to me.

If I were you I would have used a liquid gasket on both sides of the actual gasket instead of putting two gaskets.

You might actually create more leaks then fix the ones you had.

I would strongly recommend taking one gasket out and using liquid (hight temp) gasket instead.
