Is something wrong with my new G35c?

So I have had my new 07 6mt coupe for 2 weeks now. been taking it easy since it's still in break-in period 1100 miles.

For the last few days I have noticed that while sitting at idle it feels like the back end of the car is twitching. It's hard to describe but it sort of feels like a small amount of power is being pulsed into the rear wheels and since I have the brakes on the back end moves a tiny bit. This shouldn't be possible since I have the clutch pressed at the time.

Is this normal? anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? am I just being paranoid while getting use to the feedback of a new car?

Thanks

I don't recall having that feeling in my '07 coupe. Not sure, but maybe that has something to do with the axle clicking that's related to loose bolts that quite a few people have reported? That's a known issue that your dealer can check out for you and fix under warranty if that's the case.

I did alittle more testing at lunch today. today it feels more like the exhaust is pulsing/vibrating under my seat, almost like it was sputtering. It's always after the idle settles to 500-600 after being stopped for a few seconds

I've have felt that before in my 03 coupe. It's not a problem.

Weird, never had that problem in mine. I'd check it out in case.

^ I had this same EXACT issue with my 2003. It told the dealership that I was experiencing a "Bump" in the engine...on 4 different occasions when I brought the coupe in for service (oil changes). I could feel the "bump" on my knee. I'm tall (6' 5") and my right knee rests up against the center console where the radio/cd-changer is.

At stop signs, or red lights, I could feel a quick "bump!" every few seconds..but it was sort of random, not perfectly timed or anything.

The dealership said they would check for "mis-fires"..blah, blah..etc etc...and never came back with an explanation or resolution.

I finally installed a grounding kit three weeks ago, and I immediately noticed the engine idle was smoother etc etc...but on my first night of "WOT runs" after resetting the battery (letting it sit for 24 hours with the NEG lead off that battery), I noticed that "bump" was gone....like totally GONE.

I haven't felt it since!!!

So, install a grounding kit, unplug the battery for 24 hrs and try it....what do you have to loose. The grounding kit isn't a "must have", but I noticed the RPM's jump slightly quicker, the gas petal reacts a split second faster and that "jerk/bump" is totally gone.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys!

Is your car a manual and what kit did you use? I have the same issue where it feels like my car has a slight miss every once and awhile.

Thanks for the info!
