Re: 1/4 mile times?

That is really impressive, especially your Trap Speed.

Re: 1/4 mile times?

WOW thats a real good time. What was your reaction time.

My 1/4 mile times were for:

Stock
1. 15.01 @ 97
2. 14.97 @ 98
3. 14.31 @ 100
With Intake & Grounding Kit
1. 14.44 @ 100
2. 14.30 @ 101
3. 14.29 @ 101

Those were my times. My reaction time kept on getting better. I was around the .600 sec reaction time range. Except for the 15 second run.

Other than that is a real good time.

Re: 1/4 mile times?

they used a .000 tree instead of a .500 one

R/T - .197
60' - 2.30

my tires spun pretty bad in first and second. So I know there's room for improvement. Our Gs should be able to get into the 13s stock.

Re: 1/4 mile times?

Wish mine was better, but my car only had 1500 miles on it when I ran. I didn't change anything to the car or unload it of my stuff.

14.32 at 97.6 mph, 60ft was between 2.1 and 2.2. I bogged off the line each time. Couldn't get the take off right. Bone stock

W/O NOS 14.2@98mph 2.2 - 60ft

W NOS (ZEX 155hp shot) 12.60@115mph 2.0 - 60ft

before anyone says that I'm about to blow my engine, read and learn about NOS. I've been using NOS for the past 6 years and since September on my G without any problems so far, I hope that doesn't change!

Carlitos,

Are you still running with stock clutch? if so, how's it holding up under the increased hp?

Re: 1/4 mile times?

Unless your track operates differently than most, the reaction time does not figure into the 1/4 mile time at all. The 60' time is arguably the most important factor to a good time--but again the reaction time does not affect that.

Never heard of that. Any track I've even been to has just two trees. A Sportsman (.500 being a perfect reaction time) and a Pro (.400 perfect reaction time)

Re: 1/4 mile times?

Steve is correct. Unless you are racing head-up against another car, RT doesn't make any difference. The clock doesn't start until you leave the tree.

Re: 1/4 mile times?

canton, what're you basing your statement, "Our Gs should be able to get into the 13s stock" on? i'm curious, as i haven't come across any "official" 13 second Zs yet...

Re: 1/4 mile times?

hueman, Motor Trend got 13.77 in a Z and 14.23 in a G. Would you consider that "official"?

I got 14.27 my first time at the drags with my wheels spinning in first and second.
Now I'm no pro driver and it was far from a perfect run. So I know I can do better. .3 better, yes I think it's possible. At least I think my G can get into the 13s.
