0-60 times, how to get the best with 6mt?

I just bought a 03 G35 Coupe with a ATI supercharger. I received today my GTech Pro. I have had the car less then 2 weeks. Is there a trick to get off the line quick without smokin the tires off in 1st and 2nd to get the best 0-60 times?

Unlike other cars the G has plenty of low end torque so you shouldn't need to launch at much above 2500rpms. In fact I have never been able to launch above 2500rpms even when my tires were brand new without peeling out for a couple seconds.

Keep in mind that your car is in a totally different league than the average G35 because of the supercharger. From what I've heard, you pretty much swim through 1st gear no matter what you do. You're always gonna have traction problems with that much torque available though.

dabomb with the post of the day! I hurt my side laughing at your recommendation about making her jump too. Too funny.

I would recommend some new rims and throw some 285's on the rears. Since you have a RWD car, more contact patch couldn't hurt (could it?).

Now the engineer rears his ugly head. Pardon me while I think and type... It would be the same weight (weight of the car) distributed over a larger contact patch (surface area).

Then again, Frictional Force=coefficient of Friction (constant) * Normal Force (which is mass * gravity). Since Normal Force isn't really going to change and neither is the coef. of Friction... forget about the larger tires unless something dynamically is happening upon acceleration, then the benefits would be small, if any.

So blah blah blah...

Get some nice S-03 tires. The Nismo LSD and lock it to 100%. Last but not least remove the negitive camber from the rears. In other words make the rear tires straight. Some JIC traction bars heard work well. With those mods you should be well off. Or at least much better off. And as far as a launch with the SCer I wouldnt go over 2K and try not to floor it in first till the very end of the RPM range. Then shift at redline and slam that GAS!!!

Good luck

If you get you some new dubs, save your stockers and put these on them. best $300 you can spend for performance.
Man, you would be a sleeper.

A sleeper on dubs? Sort of an oxymoron don't you think?
