Re: Exhaust tip cleaning...
I use Meguiar's Gold Class Wheel Cleaner. It works great on my Bronze Nismo LM GT-4s and my exhaust tips. It makes the exhaust tips look brand new inside and out. Just make sure you don't use solid stream to rinse the inside area to prevent water from getting into the muffler -this could lead to corrosion.

NismoCPV35's tips look brand new inside and out. After seeing his I'm going to start using that as well.

To clean the black stuff off the inside of the tip, others have recommended chimney soot cleaner. Seriously... I forget the name of the product, I can look it up if necessary. Basically, they said its this liquid that you normaly use to clean your fireplace. It removes the black stuff really easily without any rubbing or scrubbing.

Try Wenol Metal Polish 1 and 2 (made by a German company if I remember correctly). I bought some from www.properautocare.com and it was great for getting the carbon build-up off my tips. The #1 polish (Wenol Red) cuts right through the carbon crap, and the #2 (Wenol Blue) really makes the tips shine. It's only like $15 for both if I remember right, and they last forever cause a little bit of it goes a long way. I highly recommend!
