i think i would be worried more about the bearings on the mains. the bad thing about aluminum is it doesnt bend, it cracks, and breaks. just hope its just your oilpan, and not the engine block.

how could you not look to see what it could be....my guess is cracked oil pan... but damn how do you bottom out.... Never had a low car? is that a road you never drive on? bottoming out hard enough to make ur car stop is way worse than starting it with no oil.... im sure you still had a lil oil in the motor depending on what kind you use... if mobil 1 or royal purple id say you would def be ok with internal damage

so what makes you think that synthetic oil is going to make a difference. If the oil is gone, it doesnt make any difference what USED to be in it.

compression test, and leakdown will tell you if you did anything bad to the bottom end.
