compliment from wrx owner
so as i'm leaving a liquor store, i see this nice, shiny, wrx pulling in. i kind of look to see if it's an STI (not). as i'm about to get into my 6mtC, the driver, who is now walking by, says "Nice car". we chat. he goes on to say he loves the styling, the brembos, the whole car.
i throw some compliments his way. he didn't get sti because of, summer tires, radio, one or two other reasons. is happy with his, but it felt good to hear him talking up the G.
this was my first unknown chat with another car enthusiast
04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

I've had a couple of chats with people saying "Yeah, I'm saving up to afford that very car you're driving"
Good stuff.
As for wrx, personally I'd even rather get the normal wrx vs the sti. I test drove both, and because of the way I sit, the sti seats just HURT. Even after only 3 minutes of driving!
That, and I'm not the biggest speed enthusiast, so I didn't need the power that was in the sti.

The STi is worth its price and is really hot in terms of performance, but I still can't stand the fact that you don't even get a radio. Also, I refuse to get another car without leather seats...my Jetta didn't have leather seats and I hated it. =(

awesome story it's cool when car enthusiasts come together and chat about cars.
but i odnt' agree with the people saying that they dont like the fact that STi dont' come with radio and leather seats....well...there r tons of nice after market seats (that's leather) and a lot of people change their audio system after they buy the car anyway.
you are just saving urself the $$ of buying the crap factory audio system?

it was a nice conversation. the guy needed a daily driver. he and his wife had one already. they said they thought about the g35x but it wasn't due to hit showrooms for a couple of months and they couldn't wait.
he knew his stuff as the brembo's caught his eye.

ahhahah cool. i barely get those compliments.
i have a friend who owns a 2003 wrox, cocky as hell, and he thinks he is a really good driver even though he is really bad, like REALLY bad.
anyway, so one day he was driving his mom's navigator, so i was like "where is your wrx" and he told me some totally BS "i was driving 150MPH on highway 9, and i pulled the hand brake because i thought it would be fun, and i broke my hand brake." highway 9 in saratoga is a mountain road....so yah. another "legend" of his is that he "said" he drove 163 with his stock wrx. sure, sure.
ahhahaha
