Quick Window Tinting Question

I just got my windows tinted. Is it normal for there to be a few tiny bubbles or wrinkles in the tint for the first few days? Will these go away? There are some on the back window especially. If it's not normal then I will take it back up there.

Re: Quick Window Tinting Question

Some tints could have tiny bubbles for up to a week, depending on how porus the tint is. I would wait at least one week before going back. My uncle owns a tint shop and I've had all of my cars tinted there, so I speak from experience. Also, remember not to roll down your windows for the first 24-48 hours and try not to use the heater too high on the inside until your tint is completely dry.

2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

Re: Quick Window Tinting Question

I didn't have bubbles, but there was definitely some "waviness" especially in the back window. All this went away after a week or so.

Re: Quick Window Tinting Question

generally you should wait about a week. by that time most of the water has evaporated.

Re: Quick Window Tinting Question

Definitely normal. Give it at least five days but no more than three weeks to fully cure. Drying time depends on outside conditions (hot, cold, in garage, outdoors, etc).
