Re: Navigation Voice??

It's a pleasant, calm, and polite female voice of indeterminate age. It very much sounds like a Japanese woman speaking practiced-perfect english. Unfortunately, there is no "be more breathy and sexy" setting, although she does seem to become amused when the road is about to end. The volume is a little high though, I have it set as low as possible and would still prefer it a little lower. Still, it's a better navigation companion than my previous low-tech one, which had "what the hell is wrong with you, pull over and ask" set on continuous loop.

Re: Navigation Voice??

Oddly enough, it is exactly the same voice as the one on our '01 Acura. Who would have thought there was a monopoly on the Japanese Navi voice?

Re: Navigation Voice??

At least it's not a Redmond monopolized voice. I don't think I could stand a car that asks "Where do you want to go today?" every time you turn it on....

Actually, I must correct myself, there is in fact a "younger and cuter" button. It's labelled "Francais." Unfortunately, your car will then develop a pronounced lisp. No joke.
