ok well i will tell you as a painters perspective, it is really not worth it to paint the car, first a quality paint job will entail taking of the bumpers painting the door jams and painting the engine bay, also not sure on this car but on past cars i have take off the fenders too, your car will depreciate in price. Also when/if you get in an accident it is the worst, you have to go and depending on the paint, paint the whole side of the car. For example, the pearls and metalics wont lay right unless you paint the whole side if not the whole car. if you plan on keeping the car and plan on changing or repainting the car if you get in an accident then go ahead.

the price for the paint if you get a metallic or pearl will also rise too. and it is more diffuclt to paint so make sure you are going to a reprible shop.

i was acutally looking into painting my car as well, and youre looking at a 7-9000 dollar investment. thats for a quality paint job. that will include repainting all door jams, hood, trunk and engine bay. and most places wont do it for the fact that they have to remove the entire engine. but if you have the money go for it. i know a place in Irvine, ca that does an awesome job. "OC Bumper and Body"...google it.
got mine G color changed to flat black with flat clear color and its one of a kind

+1 I was doing the whole side on OEM toyota colors because of metallics and side tone issues. Those 1d7 and 4q2 colors were a bitch with RM paint. Cant even imagne keeping a pearl job color within a panel on a repaint. Total Nightmare lol.

Changing color can kill the resale value and you better get a reputable shop to do the job because many I have see are a real mess behind the doors, panels, firewall and under the car.
