Good bye brake dust!

I am new to forum as I just got my G35C- red, prem, nav. Cleaning the wheels got old. I just ordered and installed a set of Kleen Wheels part #1351. This is for the 17" wheels only. Search the net for Kleen Wheels and you'll find tons of dealers. I paid $33.22 for a pair of them.
They will fit perfectly, but there is a protrusion on the disc brake (next to a lug nut) that you will need to cut a hole for. It cuts like butter with tin snips.
I have had Kleen wheels on my IS300, my wifes C230K and my CLK, no problems ever, so I don't want to see any questions about problems. There are none.
Get a set and enjoy clean wheels.

Its a good idea but I wont be putting that thing on mine, that shiny Brembo brakes is a beauty to look at specially watching it on the road, once you put the kleen wheels it will hide it.

Re: Good bye brake dust!

How well do the KleenWheel shields work? Do you get an 80%, 90%, 100% reduction in dust on your wheels? Do you have to take the wheels off once in a while and clean the dust off of the shields?

Have you ever tried switching to ceramic pads? I switched to ceramic disk pads on my MarkVIII exactly two days before I traded it in on my G35 so I didn't get any feel for how well they would reduce brake dust.

I've just bought 18" wheels from an M45.

KleenWheels keep telling me to buy the 1351s. Where's the logic in that since I'm swapping the 17" wheels for the 18" wheels?

I kept pushing them for a different answer and they said to call back in a couple of months. Hopefully they'll have shields for the M45 18" wheels and not just the G35 18" wheels before too long. (They have the M45 in their online application guide, but their M45 link just sends you to an online "request for quote" form.)

Dude, you can take out that "lug nut" thing! Its only there to keep people from rotating thier wheels from front to back.

suprhulk,
i had ceramic pads on my t-bird raybestos quiet stops, and they barely made any brake dust at all. the front rims stayed as clean as the rear. i hope they make them for our g35's.

I had the AEM whitish silver break pads. those worked really good and I don't remember having any dirty rims with them.

Re: Good bye brake dust!

I'm interested in them LIKE RIGHT NOW! I do not have Brembo's.

How much?

BTW: Drove alot Saturday, the Kleen Wheels kept the wheels about 98% clean. The rears were actually dirtier than the fronts.
