420 Mile a Tank
And 420 miles to a gallon does come up to about 25mpg?????
Went for a ride in the mountais this weekend. I filled up on my way there. Of course the ride to the mountains and back was hwy but I drove a good 90 miles in the mountains and sat in heavy traffic on the way home. I'm sitting now at just over 1/2 tank and I've gone 236 miles.
The most I've gotten is 441 mpg about two weeks ago, driving 75-80 mph and it took 17.5 gal. to fill up. All I have is a AEM CAI and Unorthodox stock diameter pulleys.

I was making a comment on my random roadtrip thread I drove from ft lauderdale to atlanta and back.
My car sits on 20" wheels (Asanti maybe 23Lbs each) I know they are lighter then the factory 18's. People thought I was BS them when I said I was averaging about 27 MPG straight highway driving doing between 70 to 75 the entire way. I was pushing fill ups to around 10 gallons but averaging the miles I had driven to the amount of fuel put in to fill up. It calculated to over 420 miles per tank. I was even monitoring with a GPS system.

I don't think I want to know how hard some of you are driving your Coupes.
I drive about 50% highway and 50% city, and even with a little spirited driving in there, I still get about 370 miles to a 'tank'. I say 'tank' because I reset my trip odometer when I fill up, and then take note of the miles as soon as the gas light comes on -- so it's not really a full tank, usually about 17 gallons. The best I've gotten so far on a 'tank' was 407 miles, but I was consciously dragging my *** the entire time -- to see how many extra miles I'd get by doing so.
Oh, and I have an MT.

I routinely make 400 mile runs (door to door) to and from our homes in Shreveport and San Antonio. The trips are about half interstate (I-35 & I-20), half "blue line" country roads (e.g.; Texas Hwy 31, 259), and those unavoidable legs through small cities and towns (e.g.;Tyler, Corsicana, Bellmead, etc.) . My '06 6MT coupe consistently averages 26.3 mpg. To arrive at that number, I top off at the beginning of each one-way trip, and then top off once again upon arrival; I consistently make it on three quarters of a tank (about 15 gal) traveling in either direction. My average speed calculates to 60 mph (interstate traffic runs pretty consistently between 70-80 mph, and you may well crawl through the cities and small towns). I find the fuel mileage quite acceptable.

. I manually did the mpg calculation and I averaged it over 3 fill ups and its right at 16.07.I really don't drive the car hard but its pretty much all city driving .I drive a 04 coupe 5mt 78,000 mi.
