420 Mile a Tank
I've got the Scangauge II and after the first 4 or 5 tanks to really get the adjustments dialed in (there's a correction factor for it to learn how much fuel is being fed as opposed to the signals it's receiving and *thinking* is being fed), it's pretty accurate. It's great to see how on light traffic days, my 30 mile commute to work nets better than 25 mpg, but it's sad to see 19 on the way home when there's a back-up on the highway.
On a typical tank, I see between 21.5 to 22.5 mpg with my '06 5AT coupe.
My dad's got an '04 5AT sedan, and he typically sees 14-17 mpg because he's retired and hardly ever hits the highway. So much fuel is wasted idling at traffic lights and with stop and go. He's taken a few trips to New England and seen better than 27mpg per tank when the entire time was spent at 75-80 mph.
I still wish I had a 6th gear that could lower my RPM's 15-20%.. really would be appropriate for 75-80mph, and if car manufacturers would just admit that many people have the opportunity to drive in those conditions, we'd see better mileage. Or if the Gov't would just admit it and reflect it in their EPA testing, the manufacturers would respond..

I have the '04 G35x and I avg around 14mpg on daily work commute. The highest I have gotten with 80% hwy 20% is 16mpg. Not that great but then I am in NYC with tons of traffic lights and traffic stand stills.
Today I got my 2nd fuel pump up after I bought my G35.
And the MPG is: 17.73mpg, drove for 289 miles
Gas consumed: Shell V-power (91)
Gas quantity: 16.30Gal Filled Up
2.75/4 Fwy, 1.25/4 Local
Gas tank from Full Tank to one line above bottom line on fuel gauge

04 Coupe bone stock and I always get AT LEAST 350 miles to a tank even when I drive hard. If I take it easy I can get 400 no problem. It's definately a 20 gallon tank b/c I fill up not long after my light comes on and it takes 17-18 gallons.
He probably was riding DEEEEP into the reserves, and still dividing by 17
Seriosuly though, how much did it cost to get it to full after those 440miles?
The best I've got is 420miles out of 17.5 gallons.

I know I was quite surprised that is didn't die on me. I was worried about running out of gas the entire way back to school. Averaged just under 24.5 mpg!!!
I think you missed the joke.
90% of the time I get at least 400 miles a tank. 80% highway 20% city and i granny shift (2-2.5rpm) in city and 80-100mph on highway. it cost me around $45 for 93 octane from Exxon and i only go to Exxon (the same one if possible). I'm switching to synthetic soon and i'll see if that helps mpg any.
