The G constantly impresses me.
Drove up from Madison to Minneapolis this week for a work meeting. Two things that absolutely impressed me.
1. Driving around s-turns - A coworker up there with a 410hp supercharged Range Rover ($95k) honestly wanted to race me on a frontage road on our way to lunch. I usually don't do this stuff but with a passenger in my car cheering me on I did it, against better judgment. He came up real real fast on the straight and zipped passed me at 80+mph in the inner lane, I followed in the outer lane till the next s-turn...braked into 1/4 of turn dropped to 3rd...coasted for 1/4...and then ripped it on the remaining 1/2. Thank goodness he stayed in the inner lane cause i was barely hanging on in the outer lane. The RAS and RE050s and 3rd gear did their work very well. Conclusion....Races are won and lost on the turns. I have never done anything like that, never will, but boy what a rush.
I can never change from 1 to 2 to 3 quick enough on a straight without jerking too much, so I hate doing that, but s-turn...oh boy. loved it.
2. On the drive back had torrential rains coming down hard for 200 miles with 30mph winds. For the first time I felt what hydroplaning was. The RE050s held down like champs, had 2 or 3 scary moment. While other vehicles (minivans and SUVs were being blown side to side) the 0.29 cd G35 was ripping through at 75-80mph with no problems.
Other than those 2-3 scary hydroplane moments, I didn't need to follow in the tracks of the semi's. Stuck to the ground like glue. So impressed, considering I have done that drive in many cars over the years.
A little side bitch....wtf...people in white cars drive in ****ty conditions with rain & mist with their lights off at 5 below speed limit in the fast lane of the highway....so irritating.

Have to love our cars!
My pet peeve is definitely drivers in the far left lane, ie PASSING LANE who drive the speed limit or slower and pay absolutely zero attention to anything, including the line or cars behind them.

yes these cars are beasts! coming down 85s 120 feels like 60 had to set the cruise to keep it down, but as for racing some dude in a nissan 240 rolled up and passed me so i thought it was just another ricer with a loud can but as i quickly found out he had some work done from a 70mph roll dude pulled so hard on me i couldnt do nothing but smile! i mean at 120 that 240 was still getting it! crazy but the G is very sweet!

I love my G too. I grew up driving bimmers and I always felt nothing could handle the way a bimmer does. However, i must say after 90,000 miles in my G I am still impressed with its capability. I love my car and I will never get rid of it.

We got bunch of F@gets in WA that drive under. And bunch of F@get cops that give tickets for 2mph over speed limit.
I got one for going 62 in 60.
